Folks,
When I read this, I couldn't help bursting out laughing.
http://www.hartfordadvocate.com/gbase/News/content?oid=oid:107862
Imagine this if you will.
A 280lb man, whose prime qualification in his life has been the ability to body-slam Andre the Giant, has been invited by the University of Connecticut College Republicans to give a SPEECH on how Liberalism is an "Abyss of moral relativity". This, by a guy who changed his legal name to "Warrior" (that's it: Warrior) from Jim Helwig, just so he could keep his Ultimate Warrior gimmick.
You had to laugh, didn't you?
What the fuck were these idiots thinking? Have they heard this nutjob? Even when he was in the WWF (or WWE) he was barely comprehensible! This was a man who had these immense words of wisdom to impart to a potential opponent before a match:
"Between knowledge of “What is life” and “What is death”…lies a battlefield of purpose before all “beings”…in its simplest form we are all animals, affected by evolution, seeking survival of self, i.e. BEING. Within the earth plane, “survival of self” only exists by the consistent challenge and negotiation of rules and regulations.”
- Warrior #1, May 1996.
Wha..? What fucking language was that? Even Ayn fucking Rand at her most insane self was slightly more coherent than this; and THIS is a man that the College Republicans of UConn thought was fit to air their noble cause. This pituitary retard, high on steroids, with enough intellect to barely keep his eyes open and not drool at the same time, is supposed to be an icon for conservatism.
Well good news for us on the left wing because this one is almost too easy. It's like beating up a 3 year old.
He proceeded to shit all over himself that memorable night at UConn. After rounds and rounds of heckling and name calling ("queering doesn't make the world work"; yup, another world beater that means NOTHING whatsoever), he was thrown out of the place, the UConn College Republicans had to send apology letters to groups that this mongoloid freak insulted. "Queering doesn't make the world work"; this from a man who wears skintight tiny speedos, gropes other men, IN public, hugs them, tosses them, hell, even lies on them telling the rest of the world that "queering doesn't make the world work". Oh the fucking irony of it all! The tassels wrapped tightly round his arms must have cut off too much blood to his brain.
Stupid as the UW was, I never understood what the hell was he doing in a university in the first place. This is a guy, mind you, who couldn't even hold on to a wrestling job with his limited wrestling ability in the first place (his repertoire, even in that notorious snoozefest, the WWE, was just four moves: Clotheslines, shoulder block, gorilla press and a fucking splash, that's it). What qualifications does this idiot who couldn't string a coherent sentence even in the fucking WWF which was and is the realm of redneck failed gasstation attendants, have to speak in a university forum? Whatever the college republicans have been smoking it must have been some pretty good shit.
Being a sucker for the humourous I went over to this dipshit's website and words will not do justice to this guy's views. I mean, anyone even remotely sane would think a few times before hiring an idiot who claims to invent words like "Destrucity" and "Foke". Here's his own take on his baby:
""Foke" is the warrior's term for what humanity [collectively] calls focus. The "us" in foc[us] implies the word "we", a collective; a group. In a warrior's world, the decideable (make up one's mind) duty of one's own foke, in it's purest form, delimits the dependence on any other."
Could you seriously believe that this man could give a coherent speech, much less an academic one?

I have mentioned Hugo Chavez before and like you all have heroes, he is mine (the number of heroes I have number in single digits: Sardar Patel, Gandhi, MLK, Chavez, Carter and Hicks is all I can think of at the moment).
Below is a brilliant article by the investigative reporter, Greg Palast which came up on BBC Newsnight in the UK.
For the first time you are seeing a complete news article on Evilatheist.com. Read and know.
NO MORE CHEAP OIL SAYS CHAVEZBBC NewsnightMonday April 3, 2006
If you thought high oil prices were just a blip think again. In an exclusive interview with Greg Palast for BBC Newsnight the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has ruled out any return to the era of cheap oil.
The colourful Venezuelan leader hosts the OPEC meeting on June 1 in Caracas and he will ask OPEC to set $50 a barrel - the average price last year - as the long term level. During the 1990s the price of oil had hovered around the $20 mark falling as low as $10 a barrel in early 1999.
Chavez told Newsnight "we're trying to find an equilibrium. The price of oil could remain at the low level of $50. That's a fair price it's not a high price". Hugo Chavez will have added clout at this OPEC meeting.
US Department of Energy analyses seen by Newsnight show that at $50 a barrel Venezuela - not Saudi Arabia - will have the biggest oil reserves in OPEC. Venezuela has vast deposits of extra heavy oil in the Orinoco. Traditionally these have not been counted because at $20 a barrel they were too expensive to exploit - but at $50 a barrel melting them intoliquid petroleum becomes extremely profitable.
The US DoE report shows that at today's prices Venezuela's oil reserves are bigger than those of the entire Middle East including Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states, Iran and Iraq. The US DoE also identifies Canada as another future oil superpower. Venezuela's deposits alone could extend the oil age for another 100 years.
The US DoE estimates that Chavez controls 1.3 trillion barrels of oil - more than the entire declared oil reserves of the rest of the planet.
Hugo Chavez told Newsnight's Greg Palast that "Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world. In the future Venezuela won't have any more oil - but that's in the 22nd century. Venezuela has oil for 200 years." Chavez will ask the OPEC meeting in June to formally accept that Venezuela's reserves are now bigger than Saudi Arabia's.
Chavez's increased muscle will not go down well in Washington. In 2002 the Bush administration welcomed an attempted coup against Chavez. He told Newsnight that the Americans had organised it in an attempt to get hold of Venezuela's oil.
Ironically by invading Iraq George Bush has boosted oil prices and effectively transferred billions of dollars from American consumers to Chavez. Up to $200 million a day - half of it from the US - is flooding into Caracas. Chavez is spending this on building infrastructure and increasing the minimum wage and improving health and education in the poor ranchos which surround the cities. As a result even his opponents acceptthat Chavez is extremely popular and will easily win the next Presidential election in December.
Chavez is also spending billions in the rest of Latin America - exchanging contracts for oil tankers and infrastructure projects and buying up loans in Argentina and Brazil. He has made cheap oil deals with Ecuador and the Caribbean.
He has also spent some of the dollars which have come in from the US supporting Fidel Castro in Cuba. In return Cuba has supplied the thousands of doctors and teachers who are transforming conditions in the barrios of Caracas. Washington accuses Chavez of buying influence in Latin America.
The Newsnight team had to endure the long speeches and marathon six hour TV shows which Hugo Chavez delights in. Chavez posed for Newsnight posing with the sword of Simon Bolivar the 18th century liberator who drove out Spanish imperialists from South America. The symbolism was clear but behind the showman is a clever political brain.
Chavez has not invaded any foreign countries. He does not have secret prisons at home or abroad. Chavez has repeatedly won democratic elections and the opposition operates freely although some members have been charged with accepting illegal foreign donations. Nonetheless George Bush's administration repeatedly targets Chavez on human rights andfinances his opponents.
Earlier this year US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld compared Chavez to Hitler - because he was elected democratically - and last year the influential American evangelist Pat Robertson called for his assassination. Robertson later apologized and said that he did not "necessarily" have to be killed so long as he was kidnapped by American specialforces.
Chavez told Newsnight that he was still concerned that George Bush had not learnt the lessons of Iraq and would order an invasion to try to secure Venezuela's oil. "I pray this will not happen because US soldiers will bite the dust and so will we, Venezuelans". He warned that any such attempt would lead to a prolonged guerilla war and an end to oilproduction. "The US people should know there will be no oil for anyone".
Chavez does not accept Tony Blair's criticism of him for lining up with Fidel Castro. He told Newsnight "if someone is sleeping together it is Bush and Blair. They share the same bed."
I just want to add one comment to this: I am willing to bet 10 bucks that there will be at least one attempted assasination or false political scandal trumped up on him before the year ends. The Americans cannot afford to have a man who can kick their ass on cue in power much longer. They tried portraying him as a demon but it backfired when he sold discounted gas to the victims of Katrina when other US oil companies were reaping in record profits by charging the victims US$60 a barrel. They tried to assasinate him once, remove him in a coup de etat once before but both attempts failed.
They tried to paint him with the communist brush because he aligned himself with Cuba but that too didn't work. Cuba has a health management system that makes US healthcare look like something dreamt up by Bozo the Clown, also the 100% literacy rates of the Cubans and their willingness to trade knowhow for oil ensured a firm bond between Chavez and Castro.
As a last resort, Rumsfeld has started comparing him with Hitler by saying that Hitler was also popularly elected. Well, that is strange considering Hitler was NEVER popularly elected (he became Chancellor with just a 37% mandate thanks to shaky coalitions and weak, conniving politicians in the Weimar Republic), was an egomaniac with a shrivelled manhood, claimed to speak for god, took frequent holiday trips to his Bavarian holiday home and considered himself above the law of the land and believed strongly in the unitary executive. Guess which politician today shares these traits?
You're damn fucking right: George W Bush.
